Upcoming Troop 6 Money Earning ProjectsTroop 6 from time to time has money earning projects to add to the coffers of the troop and to allow scouts to add to their own Troop 6 account. The money in their personal account can be used toward campouts, summer camp, high adventure trips, and even scouting related equipment. The Popcorn sales is one example, and another is the annual Pancake Breakfast at the Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church during Scout Week. POPCORN SALE
The annual Boy Scout Popcorn Sale is underway. If you/your scout
attended the Tuesday meeting October 4, you/he should have the popcorn
sale order form and instructions. If he didn't attend last Tuesday's
meeting, please stay tuned for details about this coming Tuesday's
"mystery meeting in a city park, food included." You/your scout's
popcorn packet will be at that meeting for you/him to pick up. It
includes the basic order form, prize information, instructions and a
collection envelope.
This year, the troop has set a goal of
$100 popcorn sold per scout, in order to raise money for
troop expenses as well as contributing to scout account balances.
Please plan to participate this year at least at this minimal level
even if you have not done so in the past. Higher sales are certainly
encouraged and will be rewarded.
The popcorn sale runs now until November 1. We are also tentatively
planning to have a table to give out samples and take orders at the PR
Presbyterian Church's Holiday Craft Fair, November 1, 5-8 p.m.,
volunteers in uniform will be needed.
Thanks in advance for your help.
